The Journey

When does it all slow down?

I can't believe we are now at the end of January and looking at February right around the corner. I feel like life just keeps speeding up! I had two retreats over the past several weeks and I am back in school, too, so it seems that I have been constantly doing something. Sleep has felt like just part of the schedule lately. Yet, I have really enjoyed most of what I have been up to lately. Running our first all youth winter retreat was hectic, but so fun and being able to speak at a friends retreat at my old stomping grounds Covenant Pines Bible Camp was even a greater blessing. The retreat was originally scheduled to be at a camp on the Gunflint Trail, but was moved because of scheduling conflicts. I grew up attending Covenant Pines and worked there for six years during and post college. To top it off, my best friend and his family were up there for their churches winter retreat and I was able to hang out with them quite a bit in between speaking sessions. God blesses us in so many ways big and small. I think the past several weeks I have realized that some of the seemingly small blessings can end up being life bringing, extrodinary blessings.
Mesha is doing well and showing quite a bit now. We only have about 9 1/2 weeks until the due date! Talk about time flying. I have a lot to get done before this little one graces us with its presence. We are more confident that it is a girl because our baby's cousin was born a little over a week ago and it was a boy. Our extended family is convinced they will be different sexes so that leaves us with a girl. I guess that is not good logic, but when you don't know, you come up with crazy theories! We'll see.
